The Japanese bike maker, Kawasaki has launched the updated model of the Versys 1000 SE LT+ at the 2018 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The bike gets cosmetic changes along with new electronics package and features.
The styling of Versys 1000 SE LT+ has been updated, it is now similar to other Ninja siblings. The bike features a self-healing paint from the flagship Ninja H2. There is an addition of twin LED headlights and TFT screen for the instrument cluster. Other features which are included in this bike are LED cornering lights, cruise control and smartphone connectivity. The Electronic package includes five-axis IMU, cornering ABS and two power modes.
The motorcycle comes equipped with Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension (KECS), this system enables the suspension to adapt to road and riding condition. It comes with four settings – Sport, Road, Rain and Manual. Braking hardware consists of twin 310 mm disc at the front and a 250 mm disc at the back. The bike sits on 17-inch alloy wheels which are wrapped by 120/70 section tyre at front and 180/55 section at the rear. The seat height of the bike is at 790 mm and it has a kerb weight of 257 kg.
Powering the motorcycle is a 1043cc in-line four-cylinder engine that is rated to produce 118 BHP and 102 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox which comes with a quickshifter. The bike is launched in the US at a price of Rs. 13.13 lakh without tax and we expect the arrival of the flagship Versys in India by next year.
