Aprilia India showcased the RS 150 and Tuono 150 at the 2018 Auto Expo and these 2 bikes garnered extremely good attention from enthusiasts because they share their styling with Aprilia's larger bikes and come with 150cc engines, meaning they'll be priced attractively.
It was expected that these bikes will be launched in late-2018 or early-2019 but now company officials have confirmed that the launch of these bikes has been pushed to 2020. This is because Aprilia is studying the market for these bikes.
Both these bikes come with a perimeter frame, USD fork, swingarm, front and rear disc brakes and ABS and due to this the prices are also likely to be on the higher side. The RS 150 will compete with the Yamaha R15 V3 but for that Aprilia will really need to price it competitively.
Both the bikes come with a liquid-cooled 150cc engine that delivers 18 HP and 14 Nm but there is a possibility that Aprilia might plonk in a bigger engine if it intends to price the bikes a bit high and thus position them a segment higher. Besides the R15, the Aprilia 150 siblings will also rival the KTM Duke and RC 200.
