The company is now accepting bookings for the Bajaj Avenger 180 Street, which is priced at ₹83,400 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). You can pick between two colours – red and black – and delivery will be in 8-10 days after you make the payment. This bike is the pocket friendly version of the 220 Street, so it comes with a few bits missing, like the digital instrument cluster.
Apart from a few minor details, the two bikes look identical. The 180 sticks to the blacked-out theme and features alloy wheels, a smaller cowl that sits neatly atop its new headlight, a matte-black exhaust with an aluminium-finish heat shield and tip, as well as a new grab rail.
There’s a redesigned seat on this bike. Mechanically, it will use the 178.6cc, air-cooled engine from the Pulsar 180, which makes 17hp and 14.2Nm and is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The BS 6 compliant new Hero Super Splendor comes in 2 variants: Self Drum Alloy at Rs 67,300 and Self Disc Alloy at Rs 70,800 (Both Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
