Launch of Binelli 600N and Imperiale 530 delayed due to Coronavirus.

Automotive manufacturers are struggling to stay afloat amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. Worldwide, COVID-19 is affecting the economic growth of countries with the temporary closure of non-essential activities like the automobile industry. Established in 1911, Binelli was purchased by Qianjiang Group of China and it’s become one of the premium motorcycle brands in the world. There is a good bit of news for motorcycle enthusiasts across the world as Bike Social released leaked patented images of Benelli TNT 600N and Imperiale 530.

Binelli 600N

Coronavirus pandemic might have caused the delay in launch of 600N and Imperiale 550 while Binelli unveiled the TNT600i at the EICMA show in November 2019. Binelli has planned 600N a successor to the Benelli TNT 600i with the bike showing updates in design. The design inspiration of 600N comes from the Kawasaki Z1000 with it being more aggressive and muscular compared to the outgoing 600i. The Benelli 600N will come with an all-new TFT digital instrument cluster, brand new LED headlight but the mechanicals will remain the same as the predecessor 600i.

Benelli TNT 600i

Benelli 600N would be powered by the same engine of 600i. 600N would come fitted with an inline 4-cylinder 600cc engine generating 84 bhp @ 11,500 RPM and 54.6 Nm of torque @ 10,500 RPM, coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Benelli TNT600i is one of the popular 600cc motorcycle in the market that is the only Chinese-made four-cylinder being sold in the world. This is the third design for 600N that Binelli has patented so far with one version being released way back in July and another in Septemeber.

Benelli Imperiale 530

Next model, we will talk about is the Benelli Imperiale 530. The motorcycle will be visually similar to the existing Imperiale 400 retro. The key differentiating between the Imperiale 530 and 400 retro is the presence of single-piece seat on the 530 with dual-tone colour. Its 530 name suggests the presence of a 530cc engine which would be a major upgrade on the 374cc unit powering the current Imperiale 400 retro. We can expect a power output of 30 bhp which when compared to Imperiale 400 retro is 21 bhp more.

According to Binelli launch schedule, 600N and Imperiale 530 were scheduled to arrive in May and June respectively but now we can expect a delay due to Coronavirus. Possibility is that they could be introduced 2 to 3 months down the line.
