The new BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 retains the design of the outgoing BS4 model.

Bajaj Auto has launched the BS6 version of its flagship motorcycle, Dominar 400 in the country. This BS6 version costs a premium of Rs 1,749 over the BS4 model. Competing against the likes of KTM 250 Duke and Royal Enfield Himalayan, BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 is priced at Rs 1.91 lakhs (ex-showroom). The updated sports tourer retains the design and mechanical specifications of the BS4 model while packing an updated engine that complies with the mandatory BS6 emission norms.

BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 retains the features from its BS4 counterpart. The motorcycle comes with a sporty design featuring aggressive full-LED headlamps, a muscular fuel tank, dual-exhausts, split tail lamps, and blacked-out alloy wheels. Further, it also houses a fully-digital instrument console.

Under the frame, the new BS6 Bajaj Dominar is powered by a 373.3 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, that comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a slipper clutch. The engine produces 40 bhp of power output and 35 Nm peak torque.

As for safety features, the Bajaj Dominar 400 retains the same suspension and braking hardware from the outgoing model. It comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear, along with dual-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking. Suspension duty is taken care of by inverted telescopic forks up front and a multi-step adjustable mono-shock unit towards the rear.
