TVS Motor Company has launched the BS6 compliant NTorq 125 at a starting price of Rs 65,975 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. It has been introduced in three variants: Drum, Disc and Race Edition. The BS6 compliant scooter is nearly Rs 6,000-10,000 more expensive than the BS4 model. The power output and torque performance have been carried over from the existing BS4 scooter. Though, the sale of BS6 TVS Ntorq has commenced last month itself, but the company has released the official specifications a short while back.
The BS6 Ntorq features aerodynamic design with the Signature 'T' tail lamp cluster and a sporty muffler. Riding on diamond-cut alloy wheels with chunky tyres, it comes with a 220mm petal front disc brake as standard. The scooter gets a telescopic front suspension with 22 lites of under seat storage space. Other features include a sporty split grab rail, USB charger and external fuel cap. However, the highlight of the scooter is the TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth system which is integrated in the instrument console while it offers several functions like Navigation Assist, Last Parked Location Assist, Incoming Call Alert, Missed Call Alert, Auto Reply SMS, Phone Signal Strength, Phone Battery Strength and Ride Stats.
The BS6 TVS Ntorq is powered by the same 124.8cc engine with a fuel injection system which develops top power of 9.3bhp at 7000rpm and peak torque of 10.5Nm at 5500rpm. The BS4 scooter had a maximum power output of 9.4bhp at 7500rpm and highest torque performance of 10.5Nm at 5500rpm. As evident, the power and torque figures are the same for both the BS4 and BS6 versions, except for the lower engine speed. The rider can see performance related information such as 0-60kmph speed time, lap timer and Power/Eco mode indicator. Below is the variant-wise BS6 TVS Ntorq price (Ex. Showroom, Delhi):
