Confederate Motorcycles to return

The brand's website has been updated with new and pre-owned offerings.

The Alabama-based bike maker made some of the most outrageously designed (and expensive) bikes in the world. It recently decided to change its name to Curtiss Motorcycle Company (due to the controversy surrounding its name) and would focus on making equally wild machines, but all-electric. Curtiss already showed its first creation, the Zeus, recently.

But, fans of the Confederate brand have reason to rejoice, the company has been revived by venture capital fund – Ernest Lee Capital – and Confederate now has new and pre-owned motorcycles listed for sale on its website.

You can currently buy the P-51 Combat Bomber, FA-13 Combat Bomber, 2007 F-131 Hellcat and 2014 X-132 Hellcat. The pre-owned models (the F-131 and X-132 Hellcat) have been factory reconditioned and have less than 500 miles (804 km) on them.

Ernest Lee said, “We are currently designing the next run of bikes that will each be available with a number of customer-selectable options. We personally did not want to see the Confederate brand disappear into the ether.”
