Hero Electric Motorcycle To Debut at Auto Expo 2020

Hero Electric will showcase an electric motorcycle during Auto Expo 2020. Expected priced around Rs 1.1 - 1.3 lakhs (ex-showroom).

With Auto Expo 2020 around the corner, many new electric vehicles will be showcased. There has been an incessant growth in the number of products across a wide price range in the Indian market when it comes to electric scooters. One of the major EV brands, Hero Electric will take the wraps off its first electric motorcycle at the country’s biggest biennial automotive show. This first zero-emission motorcycle is expected to be priced around Rs 1.1 - Rs 1.3 lakhs (ex-showroom).

According to a media report, this naked streetfighter is expected to have a riding range of 120 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 80 kmph. Talking about its design, not much has been revealed yet. Designed like a conventional naked street bike, it comes with a sculpted muscular end and swappable Li-Ion batteries with a capacity of 2-3 kWh. Its exterior design updates comprise of 5-spoke alloy wheels, wide upright handlebar, sharp rake angle, split seats, USD forks, and a belt drive. It has a telescopic front suspension and a rear mono-shock. 


If rumors are to be believed then this Hero Electric product might sport a full-TFT instrument console having smartphone connectivity and onboard diagnostics. This is the first motorcycle to come under the Ludhiana based EV manufacturer. It competes against the likes of the Revolt RV400 as it is similar in shape and size. More details are yet to be revealed once it will unveiled at Auto Expo 2020.
