Honda India has introduced a special warranty for all its cars in the Indian car market to enhance its customer ownership experience.
The scheme has been named as ‘Anytime Warranty’ under which the vehicle’s warranty can be extended up to a tenure of 10 years or 1,20,000km, using discrete packs, each of which gives a coverage of 1 year/20,000km at a time.
However, the scheme is available for those whose cars have an age less than 10 years from the date of the policy and the odometer reading should be less than 1,20,000km.
As per the name of the policy, the customers can avail the facility ‘anytime’ even though the vehicle’s standard and extended warranties have expired.
The company range of models includes the City, Amaze, Civic, Jazz, WR-V, BR-V, CR-V, Brio and Accord Hybrid, as well as Mobilio which was discontinued are covered under the scheme. The scheme can be availed from any authorized dealer across the country. Also, the scheme can be transferred in case the vehicle is sold and purchased. The fee for the 'Anytime Warranty' is dependent upon the model, powertrain and year of vehicle ownership.
For example, for the 6th year coverage of the Honda City Petrol, the company quotes a price of Rs 8,739 and Rs 14,619 for the tenth year warranty protection. While for the diesel variant of Honda City the price quotes stand at Rs 11,548 and Rs 19,320, respectively.
However Honda is not only the manufacturer to offer such warranty services as Renault is offering a similar warranty program up to 7 years for its entire vehicle range in India.
