The bike shares its mechanicals with the Ninja 650.

The Vulcan S is priced at ₹5.44 lakh (ex-showroom) and is powered by the same engine as the Ninja 650. The bike is available in only one shade – Flat Ebony (essentially matte black). There’s a tall handlebar, a digi-analogue instrument pod, five-spoke alloy wheels and a plush split-seat set-up. This bike will come with ABS as standard and is powered by a 649cc, eight-valve, DOHC, fuel-injected motor that makes 61hp and 63Nm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike is fitted with a 14-litre fuel tank, so it should offer decent range on the highway, where it will spend most of its time.

The bike also offers ERGO-FIT adjustability, which is available in three configurations – extended reach (for riders 6’1” tall and over), mid-reach (5’7” to 6’0”) and reduced reach (5’6” and under). You can pick from any of these settings at the time of purchase for no additional cost. This lets you adjust the seat, handlebar and foot pegs as per your preference.

Bookings are now open for the Vulcan S.
