Kawasaki W800 Café Revealed At EICMA 2018

Kawasaki has unveiled the W800 Cafe bike at the EICMA 2018, this bike pays homage to the W1 motorcycle.

Kawasaki showcased a modern classic bike called the W800 Cafe at the EICMA 2018. The Kawasaki W800 Café pays tribute to the Kawasaki W1 which was launched back in the 1960s. The bike gets retro styling but packs a lot of modern technology and features.

The bike has a double cradle steel frame. The front cowl, twin-pod instrument cluster, M-shaped club-man handlebar complete the retro look of the bike. The twin-pod instrument cluster includes individual speedometer and tachometer. An LCD screen within the tachometer pod displays information like an odometer, a trip meter and a clock. The instrument cluster also houses various tell-tail lights. The round LED headlamp unit has four low beam and two high beam chambers.

The motorcycle gets 41 mm conventional forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The anchorage is done by a 320 mm disc on the front and a 270 mm disc on the rear. The bike comes with ABS as standard. The motorcycle sits on 18-inch spoke wheels and these spoke wheel enhances the retro appeal of the bike.

Apart from all the standard fitments, customers can personalise their machine with Kawasaki Genuine Accessories (KGA) which includes chrome trims, passenger grab rail, luggage rack, heated grips and an ERGO-FIT seat to reduce the seat height.

Powering the Kawasaki W800 is a 773cc air-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike is equipped with slip and assist clutch. The launch, power figures and price of this motorcycle has not been announced yet but the manufacturer will reveal the above information in the coming days.
