Suzuki has launched the special edition model for Access 125 and it will be sold under the name Access 125 SE in the Indian market. The price for the Suzuki Access 125 SE has been set at Rs. 61,788, ex-showroom Delhi. The special edition model of Access 125 comes with aesthetic changes that distinguish it from the normal version of the scooter. Suzuki Access 125 SE will lock horns with the likes of Honda Activa 125 and TVS NTorq in the market. However, the rivals of the Access 125 SE are both priced lower than the Suzuki scooter with TVS NTorq being priced at Rs. 58,000 and Honda Activa 125 being priced at Rs. 60,000 ex-showroom.

Talking of the changes on the special edition model of the Access 125, one finds that the new model of the scooter comes with a more sober and retro look. The seat of the new model has been given a beige colour with a leatherette finish and the rear-view mirrors have been chromed out. The alloy wheels on the scooter have been given all-black treatment for the new version. The special edition model now also comes in a new maroon shade apart from the usual black, white and silver shades.

Devashish Handa, the vice president of Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., spoke on the occasion of the launch of the special edition model of the Access 125 and stated,

“Suzuki Access 125 continues to enjoy the title of the bestselling scooter in its segment in the country, and now we are glad to bring a renewed Special Edition to celebrate the spirit of our riders. The much-loved family scooter offers better mileage without compromising on power, performance and style. Access 125 is a major contributor in Suzuki’s India growth story and we are committed to make it even better to resonate the love received from the customer.”

As already mentioned, the special edition model of the Access 125 comes only with aesthetic changes and the innards of the scooter have not been tinkered with. The automatic scooter from the Japanese maker still comes powered with a 125cc 4-stroke single cylinder petrol engine rated to deliver 8.5 Bhp and 10.2 Nm. CBS is standard on the scooter with the disc brake being offered only on the front wheel. Lastly, the special edition model of the Access 125 too is just a BS-IV compliant scooter and the maker is expected to debut the BS-VI complaint model of the same by the start of next year.
