Yamaha R15 V3 ABS launched, priced at Rs. 1.39 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). It also gets a new Darknight colour option.

Yamaha Motor India has introduced ABS to their popular motorcycle Yamaha R15 V3. The updated Yamaha R15 V3 comes with dual channel ABS and is priced at Rs. 1.39 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Japanese motorcycle maker has also introduced a new Darknight colour which is priced at a premium of Rs. 1.41 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Yamaha R15 V3 was launched last year and it immediately grabbed attention thanks to its sporty design. It is one of the first 150cc segment bikes to get dual-channel ABS. This move comes ahead of the implementation of safety regulations in India starting April 2019. The updated bike remains the same aaesthetically apart from a new ABS sticker on it.

Powering the Yamaha R15 V3 is a 155cc engine that produces 19.3 PS of power at 10,000 RPM and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8500 RPM. It has a wet weight of 142 kg with a ground clearance of 170 mm. The bike has ample amount of features including fully digital instrument cluster, LED headlight and LED tail light. With the added ABS, the R15 V3 ups the safety quotient.
