Honda has launched the 2019 CB1000R+ in India. This superbike is available for a retail price of Rs. 14.46 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Honda has opened bookings for the 2019 CB1000R+. Honda’s flagship street bike, which was debuted internationally a year ago, finally makes it to Indian soil and commands a hefty price tag of Rs. 14.46 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It features a new design language which Honda calls ‘Neo Sports Cafe’ and blends elements of retro as well as modern design.

It sports a naked design and retro styling that is a drastic change over the more aggressive lines of the previous model. The new more elegant design is more cafe racer than a typical sports bike. It comes with a 998cc inline 4-cylinder engine that makes 145.5 PS of power at 10,500 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 8250 rpm. The engine is mated to a six speed gearbox. The throttle is ride-by-wire and features four ride modes (Standard, Sport, Rain and User). It also comes with traction control and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).

The bike received significant upgrades over the previous version in the chassis, engine and electronics departments. It features very distinctive round LED headlamps with ‘horseshoe’ DRLs. Features such as a Quickshifter, slipper clutch and heated grips add comfort and convenience. It also comes with a windscreen and seat cowl.

Though the design has been inspired by cafe racers, the seating position is more upright and offers superior visibility. It has excellent braking power from the twin 310 mm discs at the front and 256 mm disc at the rear. The CB1000R+ will be offered with only one colour in India, namely Graphite Black. Bookings can be made at the Honda Wing World dealerships at New Delhi and Mumbai.
