Kawasaki got the Versys 650 to Indian shores in late 2015. The bike did perform well in the market. Since the launch, Kawasaki has given periodic cosmetic tweaks to the Versys 650. The company has launched the 2019 Versys with a new colour scheme.
The Versys 650 now is available in Metallic Moondust Grey / Metallic Spark Black colour. This is the only change in the new Versys 650. Braking duties of the bike are handled by 300 mm twin disc at the front and a 250 mm disc at the rear held on by Nissin callipers. The bike uses a 41 mm USD fork that is preload and rebound adjustable while at the rear it has a preload adjustable monoshock.
The Versys 650 continues to be powered by the same 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine which produces 69 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Kawasaki Versys 650 takes on the Suzuki V-Strom 650XT and the recently launched SWM Superdual T.
