Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is all set to launch the 2020 Africa Twin CRF 1100L in the Indian market on 5th March 2020. The new Africa Twin comes with thorough updates in terms of design and features. This new motorcycle will be available in two trim levels namely Standard and Adventure Sportz. The Standard variant is more off-road focused whereas the Adventure Sportz aims to be a comfortable tourer.
The all-new model is powered by a Euro V compliant, 1084 cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled new motor that produces 101bhp of top power and 105Nm of peak torque. The African Twin CRF 1100L will be available with both manual and DCT gearboxes.
The electronics package has also been updated. This includes a new 6-axis IMU, Ride by wire throttle along with six riding modes (Tour, Urban, Gravel, Off-road and two user modes), cornering ABS, Honda selectable torque control, rear lift control, wheelie control, cornering lights and cruise control system. The 2020 Africa twin uses a bolted aluminium sub-frame instead of a welded setup.
Both versions come with revised styling and feature upgrades. The full-LED lighting and a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen display with integrated Apple CarPlay come as standard in both variants. The Adventure Sportz model further comes with a tall windscreen, larger fuel tank, wider sump guard, top-box, pannier mounts, and tubeless tyre compatible cross-spoke design.
