Honda 2-Wheelers India has launched the Shine 125 with cosmetic updates and a BS6 compliant engine.

Honda has launched the 2020 Shine 125 in the Indian market. The BS 6 compliant 125 cc engine is 14 percent more fuel efficient than the BS 4 model. It comes with a few cosmetic updates. Available in two trims namely drum and disc, the 2020 Honda Shine BS6 is priced at Rs 67,857 (Ex-Showroom). The bike is available in four body colors namely Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, and Athletic Blue Metallic. 


Under the hood, it has a BSVI compliant 125cc, single-cylinder engine that comes with Honda’s ‘PGM-Fi’ fuel-injection system. The motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox. It also comes with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) comprising of unique Honda ACG starter that negates the use of a conventional starter motor, thereby reducing the gear meshing noise. The offset cylinder with roller rocker arm reduces the friction inside the engine while the piston cooling jet improves efficiency and maintains the optimum engine temperature.


2020 Honda Shine comes with a plethora of features in form of integrated headlamp beam, a passing switch and a combi brake system with equalizer  Riding on low rolling resistance tubeless tyres, it flaunts a DC headlamp for improved illumination. The updated motorcycle gets a five-step adjustable rear suspension with seal chain for low maintenance.


Retaining the silhouette of the previous model in terms of design, the Honda Shine comes with a few cosmetic updates. The seat is longer by 27 mm with smooth integration to the fuel tank. It is accompanied by a chrome muffler cover with a chrome stroke on the side cover. Other notable features include a chrome garnished front visor, a new instrument cluster design, and new meter design. The rear gets an updated taillamp.
