India Kawasaki Motors recently updated the official website with the price of the 2020 W800 Street Cruiser. The bike is now Rs 1 Lakh cheaper than the older model and is priced at Rs 6.99 Lakhs ( Ex-Showroom). Kawasaki W800 Street was launched in India in July 2019 at Rs 7.99 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom). It competed against the likes of the Triumph Bonneville Street Twin and Bonneville T100. Kawasaki India had revealed the price of the updated BS6 model on April 1, 2020. Now the price has been slashed by Rs 1 Lakh to make it Rs 6.99 :akhs (Ex-Showroom). The reason for the price reduction is still not clear. However, the bike has become more affordable than the Triumph Street Twin which is priced at Rs 7.45 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). The price cut allows Kawasaki to position the model more aggressively, allowing the potential buyers to seriously consider it over the Street Twin in the segment. The Kawasaki dealerships have started accepting bookings for the 2020 W800 Street.
