Mercedes has released few videos over the past few days teasing the 2020 CLA. While all these videos showcased the exteriors of the new CLA, the company has now gone ahead and posted a video showcasing the interiors of the car.
The video goes on to reveal that the 2020 CLA will feature a gesture-based interior lightning scheme. Mercedes likes to call this function as the ‘Interior Assistant.’ The video also shows the addition of the MBUX infotainment system along with an all new centre console similar to the one seen on the next-gen A-Class.
The model shown in the video is the ‘Edition 1’ variant of the 2020 CLA. It will be limited production car and will on sale for about a year after the initial launch of the car. The ‘Edition 1’ will feature few styling tweaks and some added equipment over the regular variants and will be available for sale at a premium.
The 2020 CLA won’t be the only entry-level sedan offering from Mercedes now as the company rolled out the A-Class sedan few months back. It will be powered by the same set of engines as seen on the next-gen A-Class and will also get the option for AMG 35 and AMG 45 derivatives when it goes on sale in Europe and North America. However, the U.S. won’t be getting diesel options.
Mercedes is all set to unveil the 2020 CLA at the 2019 CES in Las Vegas on 8th January.
