Aprilia Terra 250 ADV could compete against KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan.

The automobile industry struggled in 2019 with a harsh economic climate and now 2020 seems to be following the same suit. First quarter of 2020 has been disappointing for automotive manufacturers across the world with a decline in sales due BS6 implementation and now the Coronavirus Pandemic. Dealerships have closed temporarily, production units shutdown with delay in launches are the primary after-effects of the COVID-19 on the automotive market. Italian brands are well-known for their perseverance and innovation in their motorcycle arena. All-new Aprilia Terra 250 was snapped by a Chinese news website at a factory premise in China. It will be a new addition to the popular adventure bike segment and is expected to compete against the likes of KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan if at all it comes to India.

Aprilia Terra series of motorcycles are manufactured in China by Zongshen Aprilia, the Chinese subsidiary of the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. The Aprilia Terra 125 and 150 is currently being sold in the Chinese market but now there are strong plans of a quarter-litre model launch. The Aprilia Terra 250 will come with the engine powering the Aprilia GPR250. GPR250 engine is a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor generating 26 bhp @ 9000 RPM and 22 Nm of peak torque @ 7500 RPM, coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, we can expect the ADV to come with different tuning and be equipped with a dual-channel ABS as standard.
