Auto Expo 2018 will see Suzuki Unveil New Scooter, CKD Motorcycle

Suzuki intends to launch new premium offerings in India every year.

Suzuki India MD, Satoshi Uchida, had stated earlier that the brand intends to move towards a more premium market. The first in its new line of premium offerings was the Intruder 150. Now, the company will show off two new products for the Indian market.

New Scooter

While the company has released very little information, we think the scooter could be a 150cc unit, which would complement the other scooters in its portfolio. For now, only company’s like the Piaggio group sell scooters in the 150cc range.

New CKD motorcycle

The new CKD bike will be Suzuki’s first sub-1,000cc offering in India. The V-Strom 650 adventure bike or the GSX-S750 naked sports bike are what could be launched at the Expo. The V-Strom may be priced slightly higher than the Kawasaki Versys 650. Suzuki GSX-S750 though could be priced on-par or may even undercut Kawasaki’s well-priced Z900, and will offer the same level of performance.
