Dealers have started taking reservations for the Classic 350 BS6-ready. The motorcycle booking number is set at Rs 10,000; to be released shortly.

Reservations for the BS6-compliant Royal Enfield Classic 350 have started ahead of its official Indian market launch. Royal Enfield dealerships have started accepting bookings for a token of Rs 10,000 in officially and have started receiving bike stocks.

The ageing 350cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine continues to be used by the BS6 Classic 350 as before. Changes in production after the transition to BS6, however, remain to be seen. Meanwhile, the BS4 Classic 350 releases torque at 19.8hp and 28Nm.

Cosmetically, the BS6 Classic 350 is being offered with alloys as standard in the Stealth Black and Gunmetal Grey paint schemes, while the rest of the range will continue to use wire-spoke wheels. Certain notable changes include the inclusion in the instrument console of a low-fuel alert and an engine malfunction / warning indicator.

The maker is also focusing on the Classic 350's new generation. The upcoming motorcycle has been tested already and is likely to be launched by the end of 2020.
