Kawasaki has introduced the Versys 1000 in the Indian market which is priced for Rs. 10.69 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The pre-bookings of the adventure tourer began last year. It is available with a single colour option pearl flat stardust white/metallic flat spark black. The Versys 1000 is based on the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and shares quite a few elements from the superbike.
Powering the Kawasaki Versys 1000 is an in-line four cylinder, liquid cooled, 1043cc engine that produces a maximum power output of 120 PS at 9000 RPM with a peak torque of 102 Nm at 7500 RPM, mated to a 6-speed transmission. The Versys 1000 has got 150 mm front wheel travel and 152 mm rear wheel travel.
The Kawasaki Versys 1000 is loaded with features such as Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), Electronic Cruise Control and Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF). The bike has got twin LED headlamps, adjustable windscreen, handy power source, etc. The Japanese bike maker will begin deliveries in India from March 2019.
