The new 1493cc oil mill produces a maximum power output of 113.4 bhp and peak torque of 250 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission alongside an automatic gearbox.

On the exterior design front, there are no changes. The Elantra facelift when introduced last year had some significant design changes that included Hyundai's new cascading grille, redesigned headlamps featuring LED DRL's, new bumpers in the front as well as the rear, new shaped alloy-wheels and wraparound tail lights. As for the interior, it comes fitted with a new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers smartphone connectivity. There is also Hyundai's BlueLink Connectivity Suite on-board with an 8-speaker Infinity sound system among many others.
