BS6 Gixxer SF 250 will be similar to its BS4 model with the engine slightly tweaked

With the introduction of BS6 Gixxer and Gixxer SF, Suzuki Motorcycle India is all set to launch the BS6 Gixxer SF 250 in the country really soon. The date is yet not confirmed. Ahead of its official launch, the brochure of this particular motorcycle has been leaked online. According to the leaked information, the upcoming BS6 variant is similar to its predecessor. It will draw the same amount of power as that of the BS4 model. However, it is believed that Suzuki has slightly tweaked the engine as it will now develop lesser torque. The upcoming two-wheeler will received a price hike of Rs 5,000 in comparison to the outgoing BS4 model. BS6 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is expected to be priced at Rs 1,75,846 (Ex-Showroom) India. 

Under the frame, the new Gixxer SF 250 will be powered by a BS6 compliant 249 cc single-cylinder engine with SOCS (Suzuki Oil Cooling System), the same as the seen on the BS4 model. The updated engine will churn out 26.5 bhp power @ 9300 rpm and 22.2 Nm torque @ 7300 rpm. The transmission will remain the same as the previous model which is a 6-speed manual gearbox. In dimensions, the BS6 Gixxer SF 250 measures 2010 mm in length, 740 mm in width and has a wheelbase of 1345 mm. Its ground clearance stands at 165mm, these figures as the same as available with the BS4 model.

The new BS6 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 comes packed with a plethora of features. And these are the same as the ones present in the BS4 model. They include an LED headlamp and taillamp, digital instrument cluster, twin muffler, Suzuki easy start system, clip-on handlebars, dual-channel ABS, Sporty fairing design, and Split seat.
