The bike will feature a new engine and updated styling.

BMW’s S1000RR is set to get a major overhaul, ten years after the bike was first launched. The 2019 version is expected to come with redesigned bodywork, added equipment and new engine that is more powerful and Euro-VI compliant.

The 2019 S1000RR will use the same 999cc motor, but heavily reworked to make more power. Since it hits markets in 2019, it’s likely to meet Euro-V emission norms. Pictures of test bikes show considerable updates to other components as well.

The chassis, front brake, rear swingarm and suspension all appear new. BMW is expected to unveil the bike at the end of the year, probably during INTERMOT in October or EICMA in November. It will go on sale only early next year though.
