The updated car is likely to continue with the same set of engines.

The S-Cross, which Maruti launched in late-2015, is now due for a mid-cycle refresh for India. Speaking at the launch of Maruti’s Suzuki Dzire, C.V. Raman, executive director - research and development, Maruti Suzuki India, confirmed that “the S-Cross will get refreshed and launch will take place around Diwali.”

At the Paris motor show last year, Suzuki showcased the updated S-Cross for international markets. The India car is likely to feature similar styling updates too.

The front end of the updated S-Cross features an all-new upright grille with vertical slats, a redesigned bumper with a larger radiator grille and new projector headlamps. The interior features updated instrument cluster dials with a new MID, new interior colour combinations, upholstery with contrast stitching, and new trim options for the dashboard.

In international markets, Suzuki sells the S-Cross with a 1.6-litre petrol and a diesel engine. The updated car will also feature the carmaker’s 1.4-litre Boosterjet petrol engine (it powers the Vitara sold abroad). However, for India, the facelifted S-Cross is likely to be sold with the same 1.3-litre and the 1.6-litre diesel engines that it is currently available with.

The S-cross will continue to be sold from Maruti’s Nexa dealerships.
