Ford has revealed its fourth-gen model of the Focus. When launched back in 1998 it was known for its dynamic handling. The American marque says the car’s handling and excitement has remain unchanged. The new car promises to offer the involvement the older model offered.
The car will be offered in three options – a hatchback, station-wagon and sedan. Ford has said that it will be loading the car with a lot of technology, making it the most high-tech car in its line-up. The hatchback will be available in a sporty ST trim. This model will have lower suspension and other sporty additions.
This new car is built on the manufacturer’s new platform called C2; this platform will also be used by many other models in the company’s line-up, including the next upcoming Kuga SUV. The Focus will be powered by the EcoBoost engines that will be tuned to be more fuel efficient. The engine will be available in a few states of tunes between 85hp and 126hp. All models will use either a six-speed manual box or an eight-speed automatic.
The Focus will take on Hyundai’s i30 and Volkswagen Golf globally.
