This is a comprehensive list of all Indian cars that have been crash tested by Global NCAP.

Recently, Tata Nexon became the first Indian car to receive a 5-star NCAP safety rating for all variants. It is equipped with 2 airbags and provides the highest protection for driver and child occupants at 16.06 points out of 17 and 25 out of 49, respectively. The compiled Global NCAP test results between 2014-2018 has only the Tata Nexon as a 5-star safety rated car. It is followed by the Mahindra Marazzo, Toyota Etios, Tata Zest, Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Volkswagen Polo, all of which scored a commendable 4-star in the Global NCAP tests. The given cars are reported to have stable body shell integrity and equipped with 2 airbags. The Volkswagen Polo, however, offered the highest child occupant protection among these cars.

Next on the list are the 3-star safety rated cars, which are the Ford Aspire, Honda Mobilio, and Renault Duster. While 2 airbags are standard on all variants of these cars, the base spec Renault Duster comes with only 1 airbag. Following these cars is the most selling car of November 2018, Maruti Swift, surprisingly scoring only a 2-star safety rating despite coming with 2 airbags as standard on all variants. The vehicle's body shell integrity was reported to be unstable too. Renault Kwid (IV) was the only car to score a 1-star safety rating with 1 driver airbag and poor child occupant protection, reinforcements made to the structure were also limited only to the driver's side.

Remaining cars in the list received a zero-star safety rating and only one of them was equipped with 1 driver side airbag, the Renault Kwid (III). All other cars that follow come with zero airbags. While driver protection is rated zero in all these cars, the Tata Nano rates zero in child occupant protection as well. In this group, the Volkswagen Polo without airbags gets a 3-star rating for child occupant protection, which is the highest.
