Hero XPulse 200 and off-roading variant details revealed.

After a long wait, Hero has presented the details of their upcoming XPulse 200R in the Indian market. There has been a lot of speculations about the launch of the bike, but now the latest bike from Hero will be launched very soon as the company has confirmed the same. Enthusiasts will remember that the Indian bike maker first presented the bike at 2017 EICMA and then in the Auto Expo in India last year. The company will launch their new bike in two variants in India, while one be a common variant, the other will be more off-road focused with altered specs and new additions.

There are a lot of differences that one can spot in the two models of Hero Xpulse. However, let’s focus on the standard variant of the Xpulse first.

The normal version is called the Xpulse 200T and it has plain yet distinct looks. The engine is coloured black and features a bash plate toward the under side. At the front are regular forks that handle the suspension duties while the rear features a monoshocker. The exhaust is placed at a normal position and both the wheels come with disc brakes with only the front one featuring ABS. The seat is not split and still is a single piece unit. As far as features are concerned, the Xpulse 200T comes with LED head and tail lamps, digital instrument cluster, and luggage rack at the rear. The instrument cluster shows a lot of information and also comes with Bluetooth connectivity.

The real attention grabber is the off-roading focused XPulse model as it not only has good looks but features to match that will attract many enthusiasts or even beginners. In addition to the other features of the normal trim, the off-roading focused version has a front mud guard that has been designed especially for off-roading also the front suspension is higher in this variant. The wheels have spoked rims and the handle of the bike also features guards. The off-roading version also has different foot pegs and dust protecting gator sleeves at the front. The tank of the off-roading version has stickers that show the bike also comes with fuel injection. Though the same cannot be said about the XPulse 200T.

The company has still not revealed the engine details of the two bikes but they are supposed to be powered by the same engine that is currently offered on the Xtreme 200R in the market. The 200 cc engine of the aforementioned bike is rated for an output of 18.4 PS and 17.1 Nm. Upon launch the hero XPulse will be most affordable bike in its segment in the market, and with the lack of a direct rival, it is also expected to do good as far as sales numbers are concerned.
