Hero Motorcorp unveiled Xtreme 160R last month with an aim to re-enter the hot 160cc - 200cc bike segment in India. The upcoming motorcycle has already been listed on the company official website. It will soon be launched in India, however, no exact date has been confirmed yet. Competing against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, the Xtreme 160R is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 90,000 - Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom). Available in dual-tone black and white color option with decals, the bike takes its design and styling cues from the Xtreme 1.R Concept. It also gets an Xtreme logo on the tank.
Cosmetically, Hero Xtreme 160R will feature an aggressive full LED headlight with a short visor above it. The rear end gets a high-rise tail section along with smoked-out LED taillights and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock suspension. Further, it gets a set of 17-inch alloy wheels along with reflective sidewall strips and a sporty single-unit step-up seat. The motorcycle comes with 37mm Showa front forks. Other highlighted features include a digital instrument cluster, LED side turn indicators, side stand, engine cut-off, hazard lights, integrated pillion grab rails, engine kill and start switch.
Under the frame, the Hero Xtreme 160R will come powered by a BS6 compliant 160 cc, single-cylinder petrol engine with fuel-injection and SOHC setup. This air-cooled powerplant churns out 15 bhp power and 14 Nm torque. Xtreme 160R can accelerate from 0 - 60 km/h in just 4.7 seconds as it has a kerb weight of 138.5 kgs.
