Honda 2Wheelers Cross 40 Million Sales Mark In India

Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India have crossed a big milestone of 40 million sales.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India have announced that the company has achieved the milestone of crossing 40 million sales mark. It took the brand 18 years to accomplish this feat, shortest for any two wheeler manufacturer in India.
 
Honda started their two wheeler production back in 2001 with the Activa scooter, which is also the largest selling two wheeler in the country. It took Honda 11 years to breach the 10 million mark after which the company had itself as a household name in India, as a result, the company witnessed immense growth in sales. Another 10 million customers were added in just the next 3 years while the last 20 million were added in the last 4 years. 
 
Commenting on the historic achievement, Mr. Minoru Kato, President & CEO - Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. In 2011, Honda opted out from its partnership with Hero MotoCorp. After which Honda focused on expanding at a very large scale in India, today they are recognized as the country's largest two wheeler manufacturer and one of the largest exporter as well.
