Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has released its BS-IV compliant Activa i – its smaller, slimmer, and lighter version of the Activa scooter.
The biggest changes, apart from the engine now complying to emissions norms, include a new dual-tone paint scheme, bright decals, body-coloured mirrors and Auto Headlamp On (always running headlights).
The BS-IV compliant 109cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, HET (Honda Eco Technology) motor puts out 8hp of power and 8.94Nm of torque. At 103kg, this scooter is quite light and acceleration is sprightly for its class - it’s an easy scooter to handle.
The scooter comes with 18 litres of underseat storage with an optional mobile charging socket and it sits on 90/100-sized tubeless tyres on 10-inch rims at both ends. This bike also comes equipped with Honda’s proprietary Combi-brake system. For brakes, it has 130mm drums at both ends.
The updated Honda is available in five dual-tone colours – Orchid Purple Metallic, Lush Magenta Metallic, Neo Orange Metallic, Black and Imperial Red Metallic, and retails at ₹47,913 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
