Honda launched BS6 compliant Unicorn in 3 colour options while priced at Rs 93,593 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).

BS6 launches are becoming usual in the automobile industry with BS6 norms coming into force from April 1, 2020. Honda isn’t behind in this race to launch the BS6 compliant bikes. It has recently launched the Honda Unicorn BS6 at price of Rs 93, 593 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). It will replace the existing Unicorn models: the CB Unicorn and the CB Unicorn 160. The Unicorn BS6 will be offered to the Indian consumers in three colour options – Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic and Matte Axis Gray Metallic. The Japanese bikemaker has discontinued Unicorn 150cc models as they have been upgraded to the 160 cc-power mills.

The new Unicorn 160 BS6 gets a newer engine, revamped exterior, comfortability, and most importantly engine kill switch. Interesting information is that Unicorn was the first bike launched by Honda in India. The new motorcycle is powered by a BS6 compliant 162.7 cc single-cylinder engine with fuel-injection and Honda Eco Technology (HET). The engine generates power around 12.73 bhp, same as the older 150 cc version, while peak torque is 14 Nm, up from 12.8 Nm. Honda Unicorn 160 comes equipped with a counter weight-balancer for decreasing vibrations and aiding in smooth acceleration. Ground clearance is increased by 8mm while the seat length too has been increased by 24mm to make the bike riding a more comfortable experience.

The BS6 compliant Honda Unicorn comes updated with new HET low rolling resistance tubeless tyres while telescopic forks at front and mono-shock at the rear remains unchanged. The BS 6 Unicorn weighs 140kg and comes with a single-channel ABS, seal chain and a six-year warranty pack.
