The Sweedish motorcycles producing brand, Husqvarna is about the enter the Indian market with their first offerings - Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250. The bikes are based on the KTM 250 model which would hit the market in February 2020. However, the company is in the mood to offer another model Svartpilen 200 as its global website suggests.
As similar to the 250 models, the Svartpilen 200 is based on a KTM as well. The bike employs the same 200 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected liquid-cooled motor that puts out 26hp. The DOHC engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Some of the other components that are derived are suspension system, brakes and also alloy wheels.
The body panels and the LED lighting seem identical to the Svartpilen 250. The one thing that makes the 200 different is the underslung exhaust as opposed to the side-mounted exhaust present in the 250. The company could possibly launch the Svartpilen 200 in India next year. However, the company has not revealed the pricing of the bikes yet.
We can expect the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 to be Rs. 10,000 - 15,000 more expensive than KTM 200 Duke, which sells for Rs 1.62 lakhs.
