Hyundai Venue price revealed online ahead of launch.

Right after Mahindra XUV300 launched in India, Hyundai is all set to shake up the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment with their upcoming Venue launch. This will finally mark the entry of Hyundai in the increasingly popular sub-4 meter compact SUV segment. What the company has lost on time , it hopes to make up on the features front, as it always has. The company had already stated that it will present its latest sub-compact SUV at the New York Motor Show on 17 April, 2019. Now, there are reports on the internet that hint at the actual launch date of the upcoming Venue. If the reports on the internet are to be believed, the South Korean carmaker will launch its sub-4 meter compact SUV Venue in India on 21 May, 2019. This leaves the fans waiting for another 45 days before they get to see the newest entrant in the sub compact SUV segment.

The concept version of upcoming Hyundai Venue was first revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo in India as the Carlino Concept. The company has been testing the same since then. In the pictures that have been doing the rounds on the internet, the front of the Venue looks like the Kona SUV which is in line with the new design aesthetic of the South Korean brand. Hyundai’s signature cascading grille is present here and there is chrome work on the grille as well, which could divide opinions on the car’s design. The upcoming Hyundai Venue has its LED DRLs in an extended enclosure in the front grille and the headlamps are squarish in design and located below the DRLs.

It was expected that Hyundai will load the upcoming SUV with a lot of features and the recent leaks have shown the same as there is a big screen mounted on the dashboard and a steering with a lot of function button that seems to have been borrowed from Creta. The company says that Venue’s ‘Smart Connect SUV’ tag will arm it with 33 features and among these, 10 have been developed especially for India and it will also feature the brand’s ‘BlueLink Connected Technology’. The upcoming Venue will also have an emergency feature, roadside assistance and panic notification. The entire ‘Smart Connect SUV’ feature will also enable the South Korean maker to equip upcoming Venue with geo-fencing, speed alert, and valet alert etc.

Hyundai may equip the Venue with the newly developed 1L turbo petrol engine rated for 110 Bhp-170 Nm. Whereas, the diesel mill could be the 1.4L engine borrowed from Elite i20 and Creta likely to be in the state of tune of around 89 Bhp and 220 Nm. The upcoming sub-4 meter compact SUV will lock horns with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, and recently launched Mahindra XUV300 in India.
