Mahindra & Mahindra’s subsidiary company Classic Legends that launched the JAWA brand in India is all set to launch the latest model Perak.

JAWA PERAK launch scheduled on 15th November 2019, Jawa Perak would become India’s most affordable bobber style bike. However, with a high capacity engine and other features, the bike is likely to become the company’s flagship model. A single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 334cc engine brings life into the motorcycle. The engine is able to put out 30PS of power and 31Nm of peak torque.

Jawa was able to produce a bigger capacity engine by making the bore on Jawa’s 293 cc engine bigger but the stroke length was kept the same. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that would expectedly result in fewer vibrations at higher RPMs.

The USP of the bike remains to be its styling which is due to its teardrop tank design with low slung and floating seat. However, the production model of the bike will come with pillion seat to offer more practicality. The front portion of the bike is similar to Jawa Classic and Jawa 42 as it comes with dual spoked wheels with disc brakes to tame them.

The company is also giving dual-channel ABS option that would make your ride even safer. The bike has a new swingarm with a different rear subframe that goes with the bobber styling. Jawa Perak would come with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 1.89 Lacs.  However, there is a possibility that the company could slash down the price due inflation and BSVI emission norms.

The biggest advantage of the bike is that it does not have any direct competition in its category that would help the bike to carve a niche for itself in the motorcycle industry.
