Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that the all-new XUV700 has registered 25,000 bookings in merely 57 minutes. Mahindra XUV700 bookings had opened at 10 AM today at the company's website and in less than an hour, the company received 25k+ orders which means each minute 438 units of the SUV were booked. The bookings will restart tomorrow at 10 AM on the company website while deliveries are expected to start in November around the Diwali festival. It is priced in a range of Rs 11.99-22.89 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India).
While announcing Mahindra XUV700 price in India, the company had made it clear that these introductory prices will only be valid for the initial 25,000 bookings. Now that Mahindra has received 25,000 orders in just 57 minutes, expect the SUV to get a decent hike in price. Hence for the time being, the company has suspended the bookings which will start again tomorrow at 10 AM albeit with new pricing. Also, from today, the test drive for the SUV can be booked in several cities across the country such as Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kanpur, Patna, Surat, Cochin, Nashik, Jaipur and Cuttack. Mahindra XUV700 is offered in two trims namely MX Series and AdernoX Series.
Just a couple of days back, the home-grown automaker had launched two new range-topping variants of the XUV700 in the form of AX7 Luxury Diesel MT 7-seater and AX7 Luxury AT + AWD 7-Seater at prices of Rs 19.99 Lakhs and Rs 22.89 Lakhs, respectively. Both the Luxury variants come equipped with a myriad of premium features such as immersive 3D sound by Sony, electrically deployed smart door handles, 360 surround view, blind view monitoring, electronic park brake, driver knee airbag, passive keyless entry, continuous digital video recording and wireless charging. Just so you know, Mahindra has also introduced an industry-first ‘Add to cart’ functionality where customers can save variant configurations, including fuel type, seating capacity, colour and dealer preference, ahead of the booking commencement.
The company’s electric division is working on a motor to power an SUV and, at the same time, is designing a performance car with Pininfarina.
