Maruti boosts the production of Baleno to cater to the high demand and cut waiting period.

The Maruti Baleno is amongst the top 5 selling cars in India currently. The reason for its popularity is the value for money package. It offers considerable features, spacious cabin, fuel efficient engine and premium NEXA experience. There was a long waiting period for the Baleno in the recent while. To cater to the high demand of the Baleno, Maruti has boosted the production of the premium hatchback.

The ramping up of production was achievable with Maruti's Gujarat facility running on full capacity of 2.5 lakh units annually.

With improved availability the average monthly sales of Baleno has touched around 18,000 units in the past 8 months. It is the first Suzuki car to be exported from India to Japan. The Baleno is not only receiving good numbers in India but also in the international market. The Baleno is currently available in India with three engine options - 1.2-litre petrol, 1.3-litre diesel and 1.0-litre turbo petrol BoosterJet engine (Baleno RS).
