Under the hood, Toyota Urban Cruiser will feature the BS6 compliant naturally aspirated 1.5L 4-cylinder K15B petrol engine with mild-hybrid system. The engine develops top power of 105bhp at 4400rpm and peak torque of 138Nm at 6000rpm while linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. A 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission is also likely to be offered as optional. The mild-hybrid system is exclusive to the automatic variants of Maruti Vitara Brezza as it is not available with the manual variants.
