Maruti Suzuki Fronx has crossed the 1 lakh sales milestone in the Indian market in less than a year. The automaker first unveiled this SUV at the Auto Expo 2023. The Fronx has become the fastest automobile ever to hit a significant sales number in just 10 months. The brand has exported around 9,000 Fronx units to markets like the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. The subcompact SUV shares its underpinnings with the Baleno.

The Fronx now holds a 12 percent share in the subcompact sports utility vehicle segment. Both the Brezza and Fronx cars have helped the automaker gain a 30 percent share in the SUV segment, out of which 20 percent of SUV sales are acquired by the CNG variants. The automatic trims of the SUV have contributed a bigger 24 percent market share in total sales. The Turbo trims contributed to 7 percent of the overall sales growth of the Fronx in the Indian market.

The Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Shashank Srivastava, said, “First three months since the launch of the Fronx, we faced issues with semiconductor supply but after that the car has been doing 12,000-14,000 monthly sales consistently.”
