Maruti Suzuki Helps Customers Affected by Amphan Cyclone

Maruti Suzuki commits to help its customers who got affected by Amphan Cyclone in West Bengal and Odisha.

Maruti Suzuki has announced that it would aid its customers located in West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand who are affected by Cyclone Amphan. The company on its part, prior to the cyclone had reached out to owners informing them about the do's and don'ts in order to keep their vehicle safe. In fact the communication was sent out to more than 3 lakh customers via an SMS says the manufacturer. Adding further, the company says that it took advance measures by allocating field teams to quickly attend to customers' vehicles. The designated official was assigned a district and his contact number was shared with customers residing in that particular area for help and support. The moment the cyclone subsided, workshops in these states resumed operations to avoid any inconvenience. For better support, Maruti in these regions is providing towing services for which they have tied up with 7 major towing agencies. As for components, they are being sanctioned on an urgent basis depending upon the demand.       

“The current scenario in Amphan affected regions is heart-breaking. We pray for the well-being of people and are committed to ensure full-fledged support to our customers in this time of severity. We have set up exclusive teams to coordinate, monitor and provide 24x7 support to customers at all service workshops in the region. Maruti Suzuki has rolled out a set of detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for its service centres to prevent spread of COVID-19 pandemic. These SOPs are devised to ensure safety and wellbeing of the customers and staff,” commented Partho Banerjee, Executive Director, Service, Maruti Suzuki India.

Currently, the network of Maruti Suzuki consists of 425 service centres located within different states like West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand. Breaking them down further, West Bengal offers operational 84 workshops followed by Andhra Pradesh having 72, Odisha 58 and 5 in Jharkhand.
