These cars have benefits of over Rs 1 lakh right now.

In the market looking for a new car? Good news is that various manufacturers are offering mouthwatering discounts on their left-over stock of 2018 (manufacturing year) and this includes hatchbacks, sedans as well as pseudo SUVs. If you do not mind owning a car that was manufactured last year, continue below to the list of models with highest offers. Do note that the figure you see below includes corporate discount, exchange bonus, cash offer et al. The list is sorted in terms of the highest offer.

1. Renault Captur: Benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh

Believe it not, but the Captur has the highest discounts for any SUV under Rs 15 lakh in India. It looks good on the outside, has a proven engine under the hood and offers a great ride quality. However, it failed to tinkle the fantasy of an Indian car buyer and hence the discounts. You can get benefits to the tune of Rs 2 lakh and wait a minute - if you are outside of Delhi NCR, Renault will offer the same figure as a cash discount as per their website! If you are in the market for a SUV, do not miss this one!

2. Volkswagen Vento: Benefits of up to Rs 1.7 lakh

The Vento offers precise German engineering which means a solid built quality, great ride and excellent handling manners. The Vento is sold in various engine and transmissions configurations that include a 1.6 petrol with MT/AT, a 1.5 diesel with MT and DSG and a 1.2 turbo petrol with DSG option! We love the way this car rides though do agree that space is not as much as its rivals like the City and Ciaz. But if you love driving, give this one a serious look!

3. Skoda Rapid: Benefits of up to Rs 1.34 lakh

Skoda, a Czech manufacturer, belongs to the Volkswagen Group which means it does offer (almost) the same build quality as the Vento. It also rides well and handles better than most other cars in the same price brand. The current offers on the 2018 stock make it a tempting purchase. Do check your local showroom for the Monte Carlo edition that looks uber cool.

4. Toyota Altis: Benefit of up to Rs 1.2 lakh

Toyota’s D segment sedan is facing tough competition from SUVs that are priced at the same level. Indians are moving towards larger vehicles that offer higher street presence without digging a hole in the pocket. For example, consumers have the option of the XUV500, Creta, Compass and the Harrier. This is also the reason why Toyota is offering a mouthwatering scheme of up to Rs 1.2 lakh on the world's best-selling sedan, the Altis!

 5. Nissan Sunny CVT: Benefits of up to Rs 1.2 lakh

One of the best CVT (continuously variable transmission) automatics under Rs 10 lakh is the Nissan Sunny. The 2018 stock has great discounts and benefits. If you want a no-nonsense car that offers space, comfort and ease of running, do step into your nearest Nissan showroom for a test drive. However, do remember, the Sunny suffers from extremely poor resale value

6. Volkswagen Polo & Ameo: Benefits of up to Rs 1.2 lakh

Volkswagen is offering great schemes on the Polo hatchback and the Ameo sub 4m compact sedan. Both the cars offers a great driving experience and are available in various configurations of engine / transmission set-up. Sadly, the same offer is not extended to the GT TDI or GT TSI models of the Polo. Of the two, Polo and the Ameo, the latter is our pick though.

7. Honda BRV: Benefits of up to 1 lakh

The good news is that Honda is offering benefits of up to a lakh on the latest, 2019 manufactured models of the BR-V. This crossover brings along a good design theme, spacious cabin and reliable engines. The 1.5 diesel is our pick given the torque / power on offer and the excellent fuel economy. It is also a rare SUV with a CVT option. If you are in the market for a 7-seater under Rs 12 lakh, this one is highly recommended.
