Nissan Motor is all set to bring the Nissan Magnite Kuro edition launch live tomorrow on October 7th. When it comes to the Indian subcompact SUV segment, the Nissan Magnite is not behind in the race. The Magnite has transformed Nissan’s position in the Indian automobile market. The captivating Kuro edition is now being launched by Nissan. Prior to its launch, the automaker showcased the design and features of the Magnite Kuro edition. Last month, the company opened bookings for the SUV at INR 11,000.
The Magnite Kuro edition will come with a complete black interior and exterior theme. In English, the Japanese word Kuro means black, and this SUV will be the black edition of one of India’s most affordable SUVs. The Nissan Magnite Kuro is based on the XV trim of the SUV. The Magnite Kuro comes in four different variants, and all four variants feature a consistent shiny black exterior color theme. The Nissan Magnite Kuro comes with a blacked-out grille, bumpers, door handles, roof rails in black shade, headlight accents, and skid plates. While the alloy wheels will come with red calipers. Overall, there are no alterations to the design of the SUV.
The Magnite Kuro SUV includes a chromium plate on the exterior, with Nissan and Magnite badgings at the rear and front. The cabin also comes with a black color theme. The center console, seats, dashboard, and upholstery are monotone. To give the SUV a more premium look inside the cabin, some interior elements have received a piano-black treatment. No changes have been made to the feature list, and it comes with a digital driver display, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and wireless charging.
The Magnite Kuro edition remains similar under the hood; as the standard version of the SUV, it retains the same powertrain choices. Nissan will continue to dispense the 1.0-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines. The naturally aspirated petrol engine can generate 71 bhp of power and 96 Nm of peak torque, while the turbo petrol engine can churn out approximately 99 bhp of power and 152 Nm of peak torque.
The price for the Magnite Kuro is expected to start at approximately INR 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The standard Magnite SUV is offered at a base price of INR 6 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-spec variant of the SUV costs INR 10.86 lakh (ex-showroom). The Magnite Kuro is likely to compete with the recently launched Kiger SUV's Urban Knight special edition.
