The Ridge is the latest electric scooter from Okinawa Autotech. The Gurgaon-based bike-maker has launched its all-electric moped at Rs 43,702 and claims that the bike can travel 80-90km on a fully charged battery. It can be completely charged in 6-8 hours, while there’s also a fast-charge mode wherein the scooter’s battery can be juiced up in as less as two hours.
The bike’s electric motor makes a maximum of 800W and can hit a top-speed of 55kph.
It is equipped with a speedometer, an anti-theft alarm and a multi-ride mode – eco and power. The scooter runs on alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres and a telescopic suspension, and the company claims that it is capable of handling rough terrains.
Jeetender Sharma, MD, Okinawa Scooters states that the company is currently readying a detailed plan for nationwide expansion. The Ridge will be followed by more electric scooters that will feature tech like accident detection, navigation and app-enabled vehicle maintenance.
