Okinawa Scooters has introduced the Praise, and has priced it at ₹59,889 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is the company’s second offering and will sit above the Ridge (₹43,702) in Okinawa’s line-up. Pre-bookings began in November and you can block a bike for as little as ₹2000.
The scooter uses a 1,000W electric motor and promises a range of 170-200km. The company also claims the scooter can hit 75kph (the Ridge is capable of 55kph). In two hours, the bike can quick charge, while standard charging time is quoted at six to eight hours. There are three speed modes on the scooter - Eco (top speed limited to 35kph), Sporty (65kph) and Turbo (75kph).
The Praise is fitted with side-stand sensors, an anti-theft sensor in the main stand, keyless start, a mobile charging point and a pre-loaded ‘Find My Scooter’ location tracker. The company has committed to invest USD 30 million (about ₹192 crore) over the next three years into new products, improving its capability and for network expansion.
