Volkswagen recently launched the Tera SUV in Brazil and now the production for it has begun. It is one of the most affordable sub-compact SUVs from Volkswagen.
The exact date is not known but the car can launch in India by 2026 and it will likely compete with Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza. The Indian model of the SUV is based on the identical MQB-A0-IN platform. Its price could range from ₹8 lacs to ₹15 lacs.

The India-spec Volkswagen Tera will feature a 1.0-litre, TSI turbo-petrol engine that can produce up to 114 bhp of power and 178 Nm of torque. The engine will be available with a six-speed manual transmission and torque converter automatic transmission.
