River Indie EV, India’s electric two-wheeler firm is all set to exhibit their EV scooter in the United Nations COP28 or Climate Change Conference in Dubai. The EV company is backed by Dubai-based Al Futtaim Group and is claiming to be the sole EV two-wheeler to be there in the COP28 event.
The electric two-wheeler company states that their EV scooters are the SUV of EV scooters. The company just was revealed earlier this year and deliveries for their EV scooters have already started in the country itself. River Indie has priced their EV scooter at INR 1.25 Lakh (ex-showroom) in Bengaluru and this will be the first time that the EV scooter will be showcased at an international event.

The EV scooter is built with a tough body structure and the EV manufacturer states that the scooter can easily take up treacherous terrains and rough roads. This EV in particular is designed in a way that hardly anyone misses it peeks. It boasts dual-beam LED headlamps positioned at the centre of the front crowl. It also equips a fully digital instrument cluster on the front side. The scooter also has 55-L storage capacity racks on both the sides for panniers, under-seat lighting, and USB charging etc.
The EV scooter River Indie gets all powered up by 4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack mated with an electric motor churning out 5.36 bhp of maximum power. The company claims that the scooter can go up to 120 kms driving range in a single charge due to its electric propulsion system. The scooter facilitates 3 different riding modes- Ride, Push, and Eco. And, in Eco mode, it provides maximum range of riding capacity. The company even states that the Indie EV scooter can gain a top speed of 90 kmph in the Rush mode.
The EV scooter also equips a 240 mm front disc and a 200 mm rear disc for braking purposes. It gets a telescopic forks at the front and a twin hydraulic setup at the rear for suspension duty. And to mark the safety, the EV scooter gets facilitated with a Combi-Braking System and a side-stand cut-off.
