Royal Enfield is offering accessories worth Rs. 15,000 to the Pegasus owners.

Royal Enfield launched a limited edition motorcycle few month back called the Royal Enfield Pegasus. The limited edition motorcycle was a commemoration to the bravery of the 'Red Devils' - Pegasus badged warriors of the Airborne Forces in the 1950s. Royal Enfield manufactured a total of 1000 Pegasus motorcycles out of which 250 motorcycles were limited to India. All 250 motorcycles were sold out on the company's website through a flash sale in a window of just 3 minutes.

However, the design of the RE Pegasus soon lost its exclusivity when the company launched the Classic 350 Signals. The RE Classic 350 Signals featured a similar design language as the Pegasus, had the option of a dual-channel ABS, wasn't a limited edition motorcycle and was priced significantly low. This ended up agitating a lot of RE Pegasus owners who reached out to Royal Enfield with their problem. Royal Enfield later provided Pegasus owners an option to exchange their motorcycles for any other brand new RE motorcycle including the Royal Enfield 650 Twins or customers could just get back the money they spent by giving back their Pegasus to their respective dealers.

Royal Enfield have now sent an e-mail to Pegasus owners stating how they didn't buy a motorcycle but became a part of a legacy and that the story continues. Royal Enfield is offering goodies worth Rs. 15,000/- to Pegasus owners to show that they care about the RE Pegasus community. The accessories include a Pegasus helmet bearing the unique stencil number on the customer's motorcycle, a Pegasus riding jacket, a Pegasus branded bag and lastly, a Pegasus label-pin. This is bound to be appreciated by RE Pegasus owners and would surely help them stand out.

The RE Pegasus is powered by the same 499cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine found on the RE Classic 500. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and produces 27.2 BHP of peak power and 41.3 Nm of peak torque. It went on sale for Rs. 2.17 lakhs (ex-showroom, India).
