Being touted as the spiritual successor to the Skoda Yeti, the Karoq will lead Skoda's charge in the SUV segment while taking on the likes of Jeep Compass and Honda CR-V. Unlike the Yeti which was available in diesel-manual configuration only, it comes with a BS6 compliant petrol engine only with an automatic transmission. The 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine will generate top power of 150bhp and peak torque of 250Nm while linked to a 7-speed DSG automatic unit as standard. Some of the salient features include a panoramic sunroof, Virtual Cockpit, digital instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, nine airbags etc. to name a few.

The 2020 Skoda Superb facelift has been introduced in two trims: Laurin & Klement and Sportline. The company has axed the diesel engine in favour of a BS6 compliant petrol engine. It has been priced in a range of Rs 29.99-32.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India), which is nearly Rs 4 Lakhs more than the older model. The sedan is now powered by a 2.0L turbocharged TSI petrol engine which develops 190bhp and 320Nm. The older 1.8L TSI engine has been discontinued. The power output and torque performance have gone up by 10bhp and 70Nm, respectively. The engine is linked to a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission as standard. The cabin is finished in a dual-tone black and beige upholstery for the L&K variant, while the Sportline comes in an all-black finish.

2020 Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI

Rapid

Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI has been offered in five trim levels: Rider, Ambition, Onyx, Style and Monte Carlo. The sedan has been priced in a range of Rs 7.49-11.79 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India). It has been powered by a new BS6 compliant 1.0L TSI petrol now which is powerful enough to belt out 110bhp and 175Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard while a 7-speed DCT auto gearbox is expected to be introduced at a later stage. The older 1.6L naturally-aspirated petrol engine and the 1.5L diesel engine have been phased out and hence, the Rapid too is a petrol-only offering. The features include four airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear camera, automatic headlights and wipers, LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, leatherette upholstery, climate control with rear ac vents, cruise control etc.
